Sometimes the kids and I like to look up fun, little social media-type holidays…because why not…every day is a holiday, right? So turns out that today is working parents day.
Ironically enough, today would have been the 19th anniversary of my marriage to my first husband, who is the father of my kids, and those kids are the reason why I work so incredibly hard every single day.
They are the reason why I get up and go to work every day. They are the reason I get up hours before they do at times so that I can work on my latest college assignment so that I can one day exclaim to them that I have a Bachelors degree. They are the reasons I try so hard to show them the benefits of entrepreneurship.
Many, many parents these days work outside the home. Some of them by choice and some of them out of necessity. Here is a shout out to all of the sacrifices made by moms and dads in an attempt to provide a secure life for our children as they grow into responsible and caring adults.
These hours of sacrifice in your lives are also the reasons I am a photographer. The hours and days fly by so quickly and we are in a seemingly constant state of being busy. Before we know it, those hours and days have turned into years. We need the pictures of them now to reflect on and recall as they grow and live their lives. And not only that…one day they will cherish and need these pictures of us.
